But it's not an easy change. This whole fall back crap with the clocks has wreaked havoc on Lila's wake up time. Of course it would - things had been too perfect too long with her sleep schedule that it had to go and get all screwed up!
She's been waking up between 5 - 5:45 since last Sunday morning. And while I'd like to be all dramatic and say that it's be sheer hell - dragging my butt downstairs to the cold kitchen and playing "let's feed the baby dolls" with Lila, trying to catch snippets of the news while reading her "Daddy Hugs" for the 20th time and drinking heated up leftover coffee (I don't know how to make coffee, but I can't drive stick either - there are some things I'm just no good at), it hasn't been bad at all.
But for David - who amazingly and willingly, gets up with her and takes her downstairs, it has been a bit annoying. For his sake, I hope this straightens out soon. We tried a week of putting her down 20 minutes early - at 6:30 and that hasn't worked - stupid child sleep books! So last night we put her down at 7 and she woke up at 4:15! ACK.. Thankfully, a little rocking and hugging got her back down and she slept until 7! I hope this continues (without the 4 a.m. wake up), but if anyone out there has any tricks or tips, please share! For David's sake, people! :)

We are struggling with this too. We have two kids. My son is an early riser and he wakes up his sister (I am sure that she would sleep quite a bit later). When they wake up we put them back to bed and tell them that the sun is still sleeping and they need to sleep too. But since there are two of them and they share a room, they would rather play.
I just looked up this problem online and one of the things that I found was to put the munchkins to bed later. So I guess instead of our 7pm bedtime we will shoot for 8. For all of our sanity, I hope this works. :)
